TISS-MAT

The TISS Management Aptitude Test (MAT) will be conducted immediately after the TISS-NET examination for candidates applying for MA (HRM&LR) and / or MA (ODCL) programmes.

TISS-MAT score will be considered along with the Stage 2 of the admission process and thus will be considered only for those who are shortlisted for Stage 2. TISS-MAT score will be aggregated with the score of PIT and PI in the following manner to arrive at the final score for selection.

  • TISS-MAT : 30%
  • Pre-Interview Test (PIT) : 40%
  • Personal Interview (PI) : 30%

TISS-NET

TISS conducts its own online entrance exam called TISS NET for the admission to its Full-Time (Regular) Post-Graduate Degree Programmes (M.A., M. Sc., M.H.A., M.P.H.) offered from Mumbai, Tuljapur, Guwahati, Hyderabad campuses and other locations. It is a computer-based test with 100 objective type multiple choice questions (MCQ). No negative marking is applicable for TISS-NET.

Eligibility

A candidate must have bachelor's degree (10 + 2 + 3 system) or an equivalent qualification in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree and awaiting results can also apply.

MICAT Pattern

MICAT is conducted twice a year (MICAT I & MICAT II). It is a Computer Based Test (CBT). A student may choose to write both MICAT I & II. Better of the two MICAT scores is considered. For admission into the PGDM / PGDM-C program of MICA, students have to take the MICAT Exam along with any one of the other MBA entrance tests (CAT, XAT, GMAT).

XAT

The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is an all-India test conducted by Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI) as an entrance exam for admission to the post graduate programs in management courses of several management institutes all over India.

SNAP

Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) is a common test for the admission to all the Post-Graduate Institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed) University. While there is only one application for the SNAP test, you need to apply separately to each institute within Symbiosis International University, as per the details given on the respective website of each institute.

Eligibility

The candidate should be a graduate from any recognized University or Institution with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for SC / ST). Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for SC / ST).

NMAT

NMAT is conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). It is the primary aptitude test for admission to SVKM's NMIMS - for all three campuses (Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad). NMAT is the only test that allows a student upto three attempts, and considers the best-of-three score for admissions.

Eligibility

The candidate should be a graduate with 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in the first attempt.  Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelors degree/equivalent qualification examination; and those who have completed their degree requirements but are awaiting results can also apply subject to clearing the final examination in the first attempt with 50% aggregate marks. Any admission given to such candidates is purely provisional, and is confirmed only upon successful submission of all valid documents.

IIFT

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) is an autonomous institute established by the Government of India in 1963. It provides admission to the two-year full-time MBA course of IIFT i.e. MBA (International Business). It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) that also conducts CMAT.

Eligibility

Any bachelor's degree holder with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD) can apply for IIFT exam. Foreign nationals have to produce a valid GMAT score for admission to  IIFT  MBA-IB program. There is no age limit to appear in the exam. IIFT provides reservation to SC, ST, OBC and PwD candidates as per government norms.
